Located at the Oswego International Marina, OYC is an all volunteer club with members from all parts of Central New York. Members have a variety of boating interests, from hard core racing to laid back cruising, but we all share a love of the water and spending time with friends and families.

OYC is an active club, hosting three invitational regattas each summer, Wednesday Evening Fleet Racing, a junior/community sailing evening, social events throughout the year, cruises, and fun boating events.

Every June we host the Oswego County Hospice Regatta a fund raiser for Oswego County Hospice and a qualifying event for the National Hospice Regattas Championship. In late July,  Sail Oswego is held in conjunction with Harborfest. After sailing, competitors enjoy the festival atmosphere in the City of Oswego with fireworks and entertainment throughout the weekend. Mid August finds boats from District 7 of the J24 class competing in their annual Pennant Series Regatta. While racing is an important part of the Club, we also like relaxing on the deck, enjoying the sunset or cruising to different ports on the Lake. Several weekends each summer members sail off to Fair Haven or spend a week in the 1000 Islands.

Throughout the year the club holds social events. The rites of spring occur in March with our annual St. Patrick’s Day feast followed by the Burning of the Socks. The Firecracker JAM, held during the Independence Day Holiday brings friends and family to the Club for an informal race on an unusual course in the harbor followed by a pot luck dinner and evening fireworks. Then there is the Blessing of the Fleet, the New Members’ Party, Volunteer Party, the Ricotta Regatta, the Great Pumpkin race and the jewel of our social season, The Old SaltsBall and Award Ceremony. Having fun ranks high on our agenda!

Membership in the Oswego Yacht Club is open to anyone who shares our interest in boating and being on the water. We offer several membership levels, check out our membership page.

If you are cruising Lake Ontario and are a member from one of our reciprocal clubs please visit our Club and our City. We offer members from reciprocal clubs one nights stay on our dock and use of our facilities.
